PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver certifications.
Emergency First Response certification within the last 24 months.
At least 40 logged dives to begin training and 60 logged dives for certification.

Water skills and stamina exercises (e.g., timed swims, rescue scenarios).
